UPDATED STORY (7-23-2017): The manhunt for fugitive Samual Cravens is now over, according to Chief Deputy Chris Holland of the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department. Holland said Cravens was captured near the motorcycle ranch on Highway 127 early Sunday morning, July 23. Holland said Cravens will be extradited to Indiana at a later date.  More details…

Operation Southern Shield, a joint effort of five Southern states including Tennessee, began on Monday in hopes of cracking down on motorists who disobey the speed limit and other safety measures. Crews have responded to a deadly crash on Summer City Road with two people reportedly deceased and another person being flown out via emergency helicopter.
