Crack forms on SR30 East after heavy rainfall

Authorities responded to reports of a sinkhole on Highway 30 East near the Dunlap Stone rock quarry after cracks were discovered in the road. The road is open at the time after being shortly blocked for Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) inspection. Officials say TDOT will continue to monitor the cracks.

Ritchie signs to play baseball at Roane State

    Monagram Mondays at Extension

    The University of Tennessee Extension Bledsoe County holding a series of courses called Monogram Mondays where participants are taught how to utilize a vinyl cutting machine, with a Cricut machine being used during the workshops. The first workshop on self-adhesive vinyl is February 11th from noon to 3 p.m. at the UT-TSU Extension office. Participants will make take home projects such as a monogrammed charger plate and a cake carrier. The second workshop features heat transfer vinyl and glass etching is on February 18th from 5 to 8 p.m. Participants are asked to bring their own solid color T-shirt to put a pocket-sized white monogram on.
