The Bledsonian-Banner staff was recently honored with awards at the Tennessee Press Association (TPA) convention in Nashville. Publisher Sandy Dodson and Graphic Designer Becky Barger worked together to receive first place in Make-Up and Appearance. Slaughter facing numerous charges
Authorities have charged Lee E. Slaughter, 64, of Pikeville with numerous charges surrounding the misuse of skid-steer on June 28, according to Detective Drake Brown with the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department. Since it’s America’s 250th the theme is Liberty, Land, and Livestock. Please have your displays July 1 through August 8. Judging is July 10. First place receives five week gate passes, second place gets five rodeo gate passes, and third place receivs five Race TN Series gate passes. Bargain Basement is open July 4th
All dayJul-04-26The Bargain Basement will be open on July 4th from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. at 7 Methodist Street, Pikeville. They are continuing the $1 a bag for clothing, shoes, books and toys. Other items are $1 unless marked. This is sponsored by the United Methodist Women with proceeds used for missions. Clean usable donations are always appreciated and may be brought during these open hours or on Thursday afternoons from 2 to 4.

At 1:00 p.m., lineup for the parade; 2:00 p.m. parade, ride the float or walk; 3:00 p.m. cookout at the Veterans Club for all veterans and their families.
