Donna Jean Heard

 

Donna Jean Heard, 65, of Pikeville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at home.  

Donna loved spending time with her family, friends, and others. She enjoyed going on vacation, beach trips, watching Mila play ball, and also liked to cook.

Preceding Donna in death were her maternal grandparents, Vie Merle and William Herbert Lowie; paternal grandparents, John Earl and Elizabeth Howser; nephew, Daniel Doan; and father-in-law, Homer Heard.

Donna will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Tommy Joe Heard; son, Matthew (Lea) Heard; granddaughter, Mila Heard; parents, Randel Joe and Velma Jean Lowie Howser; brother, Charlie (Kelly) Howser; sister, Teresa (Paul) Doan; mother-in-law, Tressie Heard; special friends, Marcene Yeargan, Kim Gentry, and Jane Wilkey; several nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. CDT Wednesday, May 27, in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronny Colvard officiating. Burial will be in the Pikeville City Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Daniel Hankins, Denver Hankins, Paul Doan, Charlie Howser, Danny Smith, Matthew Heard, Billy Heard, and Steve Heard. The family will receive friends 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, and 10:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Pikeville Funeral Home.
