Teresa Swafford

Teresa Swafford, 76, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Friday, March 6, 2026.

She enjoyed making candy, cooking, gardening, and canning throughout her early life. She always had a knack and interest for working on “The World’s Most Difficult Puzzles” and collected books. Family and local history were always of her interest, but she seldom laid down a good “who done it,” as she would say.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Catherine Swafford; and brother, Dick Swafford.

She is survived by her loving family: brother, Paul Swafford; nephew, Dr. Hutch (Amanda) Swafford; niece, Tabitha (Trent) Robinson; and great-niece, Ella Swafford.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 8, at 4:00 p.m. CDT in the chapel with Rev. Greg Smart officiating. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. CDT.
