Eleanor Ozetta Joyce Blaylock Angel

Eleanor Ozetta Joyce Blaylock Angel, 82, of Pikeville, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at home with her loving family by her side.

Eleanor loved her family and grandchildren. She was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church.

In the past Eleanor worked at Bledsoe County Nursing Home in the activities department. She always enjoyed sitting on the porch having her coffee, working in her flower gardens, doing crossword puzzles, and listening to music.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Angel; father, Odie Franklin Blaylock; mother, Zoveda Ferguson Blaylock Ewing; son, Jerry Angel; two grandchildren, Nick and Shelby Angel; daughters-in-law, Sandra Angel and Tammy Angel.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her sons, Darryl, Lynn, Terry, and David Angel;  grandchildren, Aaron Angel, Brittany Sherrill, Heather Roberson, Renee Angel-Blaylock, Chasidy Hankins, Bradley, Kim, and Shane; great-grandchildren, Weston, Shane, Timothy, Carson, Riley, Reagan, Madison, Rylan, Eilan, Easton, Morgan, Mason, McKenzie, Nicky J, Skyler, Brinlee, Ada, Kai, Leo, Deklynn, and Jude; brothers, Wade, Randell, and Harold Blaylock; sisters, Brenda Cantrell and Judy Gillespie; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. CDT Friday, September 5, in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Iron Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, and 12:00 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
