Bobby Lynn Hankins

Bobby Lynn Hankins, 65, of Ooltewah, Tennessee passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 unexpectedly.

Bobby was a member of Old Rugged Cross Baptist Church, loved his children and grandchildren. In the past he played the drums during band class, worked in construction for Shofners, enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hiking, liked good westerns, and Native American history.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Landel Hershel Hankins.

Left behind to cherish Bobby’s memory are his sons, Jonathan Lynn (Judith) Hankins and Matthew Drake (McKenzie) Hankins; daughter, Heather Elaine Hankins; mother, Mary Frances Thurman Hankins; brother, Jimmy Roger Hankins; sisters, Patricia Ann Hankins and Betty Elaine (Ron) Davidson; grandchildren, Kaelynn Hankins, Bryson Baumunk, Austin Hankins, Brody Baumunk, Braedyn Hankins, Elijah Hankins, and Tucker Hankins; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A celebration of life was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ricky Kesley officiating. Burial followed in McDowell Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers were Bryson and Brody Baumunk, Austin and Braedyn Hankins, Robby Kerr, and River Fisher. The family received friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
