Ronald Wayne Blankenship
Ronald Wayne Blankenship, 75, departed this life on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
He was a brick and block mason and farmed all his life. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Sampson Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to fish, farm, and being with his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Lou Blankenship; brothers, Earl (Lorene) Blankenship, Landon (Nina) Blankenship; sisters, Wilma (JC) Hodges and Doris Davis; sister-in-law, Betty Blankenship; and grandson, Warren Watson.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Annette Blankenship; daughter, Melissa (Artie) Lovett; sons, Ronald (Monica) Blankenship, Marty (Michelle) Watson and Thomas (Miranda) Watson; grandchildren, Chris Watson, Kayla (Dustin) Wilson, Grace (Bret) Holland, Jesse (Tara) Blankenship, Jessica Watson and Peyton (Karlee) Watson; great-grandchildren, Mady Watson, Jackson and Danny Wilson, Skyler and Colt Holland, Addy, Glen and Jesslyn Watson and Raylee, Jaxon and Logan Watson; brothers, Johnny Blankenship and Gary (Peggy) Blankenship; brother-in-law, Hubert Davis; a host of nieces and nephews; and his working buddy, James Defur.
Services were held Saturday, August 3, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bill Montandon officiating. Burial was in Blankenship Cemetery.
