Jerry Hoyt Lewis

Jerry Hoyt Lewis, 77, of Pikeville, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 1, 2024. He passed at home peacefully.

Jerry was a loving husband, father, Pa, and friend. He spent his life working hard to support his family; always showing unconditional love and support. Jerry owned and operated his construction company for many years. Jerry loved his family and grandkids, enjoyed working with his son in the garage, and always liked working outdoors. He was of the Baptist Faith, loved God and is now resting in the arms of our Lord Jesus.    

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Jay and Leona Cox Lewis; brother, Marshall Lewis; sisters, Willene Simmons and Barbara Turner; and granddaughter, Jera Brooklyn Lewis.

Left behind to cherish Jerry’s memory is his loving wife of 55 years, Lydia Jean Elliott Lewis; daughter, Shannon Lewis (Scott Case); son, Jeremy Lewis; grandchildren, Justin (Caroline) Wooden, Abby Lewis, J C Lewis; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A private family burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, at the Jerry Lewis Family Cemetery.
