Mary Elizabeth Hollingsworth

Mary Elizabeth Hollingsworth, 83, of Pikeville, Tennessee was born February 19, 1940 in Spring City, Tennessee to late Windell Robinson, Sr. and Maude Lee Robinson.

Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Luther Hollingsworth. They were married on November 16, 1960.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and beloved siblings; Wendell Robinson, Jr., Virgil Robinson, and Robert Robinson.

Mary is also survived by her siblings, Carolyn (Edward) Bridgeman of Spring City, and Harold (JoAnn) Robinson of Tampa, Florida;  daughters, Nitikia Enadeghe, Yonnia Martin, Eeoni (Tamu) (Imari) Lee; and her son, Sineka (Jeanne) Hollingsworth.

She graduated from Carver High School in Dayton. She was noted for her gardening skills. Mary loved the Lord and attended Shady Vale Church of God in Pikeville, Tennessee. She and her husband ministered at the Rhea County Nursing home for over 10 years.

Mary spent the majority of her working life at La-Z-Boy. She retired after 30 years of service.

Mary will be missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at noon CST Tuesday, February 13, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Donnie Lawson and Bro. Ronnie Holloway officiating. Burial was in the Pikeville City Cemetery.
