Albert Junior “Alb” Murphy, 74, of Pikeville, Tennessee passed away, Saturday, August 12, 2023.

Alb served in the United States Army, worked in carpentry for many years, and later, was the Butcher at Wyatt’s Slaughter House. He loved his grandkids, enjoyed a ride on his Harley, like to hunt arrowheads, fishing, and deer hunting. He was a member at West End Church of God.

Preceding Alb in death were his parents, James Albert and Leitha Mae Mears Murphy; brothers, Ellis Ray Murphy, Michael Murphy, sister, Floann Evans; and great-grandson, Charles Heard.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his daughters, Tammy (Dalton) Gadd, Regina (Justin) Revis, Crystal (Tim) Wooden; brothers, James Terry (Connie) Murphy, Lee Murphy, Luther (Penny) Murphy; sisters, Alberta Angel, Mary Helen Davenport, Glenda Carol Murphy, Tina (Joe) Burgess; grandchildren, BJ Heard (Chasity Brock), Amelia Heard (Steve Swafford), Ashley Holland, Hunter Holland (McKenna Thurman), Kayla (Brok) Gould, Kyle (Jamie) Wooden; great-grandchildren, Peyton Heard, Sadie Swafford, Brayla Gould, Hudson Holland, Arlis Heard, Jaylen Yother; life companion, Evelyn Murphy; Special friend Tom Clingan, and the Murphy boys across the river, Jackie, Dennis, and Wayne; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A memorial service was held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17, at West End Church of God with Bro. Danny Lee officiating.
