Herbert Anderson
Herbert Alexander Anderson, 74, born in Pikeville, Tennessee to Joseph and Dollie (Brock) Anderson on June 21, 1945, went to be with the Lord on September 21, 2019.
He is survived by loving wife of 54 years Ruth Anderson; sons, Harold and Wayne (Vickey); grandchildren, Sharon and Alex; five great-grandchildren; brother, Bill; sister Margaret (Bobby); sisters-in-law, Katheryn and Arlene; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
He served in the U.S. Air Force where he met his wife while stationed at MacDill AFB. His hobbies included woodworking, crossword puzzles, and he was active in Scouts, enjoyed visiting with neighbors, and spending time with family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Freewill Baptist Church, Pikeville. Services to be held at Community Freewill Baptist Church, 2500 Summer City Road, Pikeville on Saturday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. (EST). Food and fellowship to follow.
