Nora Blaylock

   Nora Prater Blaylock, 98, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at her home. She was born in Bledsoe  County, Tennessee on October 25, 1919 to Arthur Young Prater and Emma Johnson Prater who preceded her in death along with her infant son, K.M. Blaylock, Jr “Little Pete;” sisters, Maggie Ruth and Cora Prater, Effie Davis and Rena Myers; brothers, J.R. and Raulston Prater; father of her children, K.M. Blaylock; daughter, Bobbie Jo Blaylock; sister, Christine King; friend, Winfield Snow.

   She is survived by her daughters, Geneva (Late Herbert) McLin of Miramar, Florida, and Wilma (Late Alfred Earl) King of Coalmont; brother, Landon (Connie) Prater of Brockdell; grandchildren, Tim King, Ray Chappell, Rhonda Adams and Lisa (Wade) Nunley; great grandchildren, Lindsey, Jake, Andrew, Hunter, Amanda, Carson (Madison) and Allie; great-great granddaughter, Hailey; and several nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 15 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Riley Anderson officiating. Burial followed in the Rainey-Dill Cemetery at Brockdell.
