Want to enjoy the weekend meandering through some of the best classic cars and trucks in the Sequatchie Valley while enjoying musical entertainment by The Kinship? Then Pikeville is the place to be Saturday, June 6.
The refurbished cars and trucks start rolling in at 4:00 p.m. downtown and stay around until about 8:00 p.m. In addition to the local cruise-in, this is part of the Cruising Tour: Tennessee’s Great Valley Sequatchie Valley Scenic Byway program. Car enthusiasts are encouraged to show of their rides or just come view the amazing display in town. Pikeville is the first stop of the monthly Cruising Tour that encompasses the Sequatchie Valley from Marion to Cumberland counties. Pikeville’s stop is the first Saturday of the month, Dunlap is the second Saturday, Powell’s Crossroads is the third Saturday, and Crossville is the fourth Saturday. If you attend these events, and take a selfie with the Cruising Tour banner at each location, you can be entered in a drawing for several great giveaways to be drawn on December 12 at the finale in downtown Dunlap.
The Kinship takes the Main Street Stage from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with its driving classic rock, blues, outlaw country, and folk covers plus a mix of some originals by band members.
Summer Nights is held rain or shine with seating available under the Main Street Stage covered pavilion. Some chairs are provided, but you can bring your own too.
