Betty Gillette, 91, of Dayton, Tennessee died Thursday, January 11, 2018.
She was a member of Spivey Memorial United Methodist Church, enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, and loved to volunteer helping others with anything possible.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Gillette; parents, Amos S. and Bertha Herron Calhoon; brother, Henry Calhoon; and sister, Mable C. Dillon.
Survivors include her son, Gene (Denise) Gillette, Dayton; daughter, Robin (David) Sullivan, Georgia; five granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; special friend Penni Foust; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A celebration of life was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, at Spivey Memorial United Methodist Church in Dayton, with Pastor Bill Ewing officiating. A private burial took place January 15 at Summer City Cemetery.
