Myrtle Campbell

Myrtle I. Campbell, 77, of Pikeville, died Monday May 1, 2017.

Myrtle was a factory worker for many years who loved sewing and canning.

Preceding Myrtle in death were her parents, Lonas and Lillie Hale Smith; husband, William A. Campbell; daughter, Glenda Medley; brothers, Walter, Tommy, Casto, and Charlie Smith; sisters, Mary E. Milton, Hazel Smith, Mayme Smith, and Nora Presley; two grandchildren, Sue Ann Brock and Lisa Brock Thompson.

Left to cherish Myrtle’s memory are her daughters, Shirley (Donald) Brock, Sharon (Beecher) Rogers, Darlene (Olen) Brock; sons, Doug (special daughter-in-law Mary) Campbell, Virgil and Marshall Campbell; sisters, Radith Norris of Crossville, Wilma Bolin of Pikeville, Delda (Bertie) Walker of Spencer; 18 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 5 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Troy Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Blackburn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3 and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 4.
