Richard L. Madix

Richard L. Madix, 67 of Pikeville passed away on September 12, 2016.

He was preceded in death by parents, James Madix and Betty Hudgens Gaw; and infant brother.

Left to cherish Richard’s memories are his sisters, Lehron (Bratch) Swafford, Jean Atkinson, Susan Madix Dodd, and Karen Madix Holt; brothers, Steve Madix and Jerry Vaughn; nieces and nephews, Siobhan (Charles) McMurray and Wilson (Kayla) Swafford; and great-nephew, Rylan Swafford. 

A Celebration of Richard’s Life was held in the funeral home chapel Wednesday, September 14, at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop James Dunn officiating. The family received friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday until service time. Burial was in Worthington Cemetery.
