Marie D. Nipper

Marie D. Nipper, 90, of Pikeville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 12, 2016.   

She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Pikeville, and an avid Tennessee Vols fan. She loved her family and church family, and was always seen with a smile on her face.

She was preceded in death by her husband, E.H. Nipper, Jr.; parents, John and Hattie E. Dill; six brothers, Samuel, Howard, Leonard, Alton, Anderson and Jamey Dill; and three sisters, Ruby Colvard, Eula Holt and Dorothy Davis.

Survivors include her children Barbara (Donnie) Locke of Spring City, Eddie (Mary Jane) Nipper of Cookeville, and Martha (Roger) Siever of Pikeville, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Mason, Durand Locke, Eric Nipper and Rachel Nipper; great-grandchildren Van and Guy Mason and Lily Locke; sister, Ina Lee Dennis of Nashville; several nieces and nephews and very special friends, Pat and Frances Agee.

Services will be Thursday, September 15, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Whitaker officiating.  Burial will be in Dill Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday

from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Dill Memorial Cemetery at First Farmer and Commercial Bank in Pikeville, or First Southern Baptist Church Building Fund.
