Henry Clay Pendergrass

Henry Clay Pendergrass, 76, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday November 24, 2015 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Pendergrass was a native of Bledsoe County, the son of the late Ruth Pendergrass Fann. He served his country in Navy as a submariner. He was a lifelong minister and missionary for the Church of Christ and was the current minister of the Catalpa Church of Christ.  

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Agnes Garner Pendergrass; two daughters, Gale (Gary) Francis of Franklin, and Angela Pendergrass of Lewisburg; two sons, Phillip Pendergrass of Lander, Wyoming and Henry II (Karen) Pendergrass of Spring Hill; six grandchildren, Clay (Carter) Stokes, Zach Stokes, Autumn Pendergrass, Chase Pendergrass, Ally Pendergrass, Katy Pendergrass; two great-grandchildren Laney Stokes, Nolen Stokes; two brothers, Eugene (Cile) Pendergrass of Pikeville, Tommy (Patsy) Fann of Pikeville, and a sister, Carolyn (Vaughn) Dunn of Pikeville. He was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Fifer, and a brother, Joe Pendergrass.

Pendergrass’s body was cremated with memorial services conducted at Westvue Church of Christ on Saturday, November 28 with Rick Rolin conducting the service.

London Funeral Home of Lewisburg was in charge of the arrangements.
