Bill Thomas
William “Bill” W. Thomas, 87, of Pikeville, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Erlanger Bledsoe.
Bill was born in Pikeville September 1, 1928 to the late Edwin James and the late Ethel (Hardy) Thomas. He was the owner and operator of Thomas Electric for over 25 years and ran the movie theater for over 20 years. After retiring, he worked as a handyman around Pikeville.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy (Bledsoe) Thomas of Pikeville; sons Dennis and Kerry Thomas of Pikeville; grandson, Michael Thomas and wife Jayme of Pikeville; granddaughter, Jennifer Thomas of Pikeville; great-grandson, Clark Thomas of Pikeville; brother, Norman Thomas and wife Evelyn of Pikeville; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors also survive.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son, Tinker Thomas; sisters, Ann Turner and Pauline Brinkman; and brothers, Jim, Bud, and Junior Thomas.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, October 31, at 12 noon at the Cold Springs Community Center in Pikeville.
