Loyd Prater

Loyd Prater, 82, of Pikeville, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015.

He was a member of Frostbite House of Prayer.

Loyd was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Faye Prater; mother, Pearl Lee Prater; father, Doc Prater; son, Gary Prater; and brothers Carlos and Lester Prater.

Survivors include his children, Stanley Prater, Pikeville, Clayburn (Denise) Prater, Pikeville, Rhonda (Daniel) Baggett, Whitwell, Jessie Prater, Pikeville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Randall (Mary Lou) Prater, Spencer; sister, Lucille Johnson, Pikeville.

Services were held Sunday, August 9, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Daniels officiating. Burial was in Hitchcock Cemetery.
