Elmer Lee Stout

Elmer Lee Stout, 77, of Pikeville, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015.

He attended Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. Elmer worked 40-plus years in the oil industry in Texas. He enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, and being with his grandchildren.

Preceding Elmer in death were his parents, Martin Luther and Laura Viola Brummitt Stout; brothers, David, Newton, Don, Sterling Junior, and George Stout; sisters, Verna Wright and Ellen Nabors.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Nancy Louise Kerley Stout; sons, Dewayne (Debbie) Stout, Lamesa, Texas and Michael Lynn Stout, Pikeville; daughters, Tammy (Kerry) Bybee, Lamesa, Texas and Michelle (Donathan) Hale, Pikeville; grandchildren, Stacy (David) Bolton, Bradley Stout, Randy (Sebrina) Stout, all of Lamesa ,TX., Michael (Jessica) Stout, Burleson, TX., Brady Bybee, Lubbock, TX., Tanner and Sarah Hale, Pikeville; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Nicholas, Chase, and Madison Stout; Hunter and Bryson Bolton; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and very close friends.

A celebration of Elmer’s life was held Saturday, June 27, at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Delbert Rains and Rev. Philip Luna officiating. Burial was in the Kerley Cemetery.
