Samuel Bridgeman
Samuel Bridgeman, 60, of Pikeville passed away on June 9, 2015.
Sammy was an avid Tennessee Vol fan and loved going to the games. He also enjoyed listening to music, watching country-western movies and playing his trumpet when he was in the Bledsoe County High School Band. Sammy was always a friend to everyone.
He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Bridgeman and sister, Sgt. Elizabeth Darlene Brown.
Sammy is survived and will be missed by his mother, Mary Clyde Bridgeman; daughter, Heather Powell; sons, Samuel Jermaine Bridgeman, Avery Jackson Brown, and Anthony Thomas Bridgeman; seven grandchildren; sister, Martha C. Goines; brothers, Rev. J. R. Bridgeman, Jasper E. Bridgeman, and Lyndon H. Bridgeman; special caretaker, Marshall Hawkins; special friend, Janice Locke; a host of friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Sammy’s life will be held Saturday, June 13 at noon at the Pikeville Church of God. Rev. J. R. Bridgeman will be officiating. The family will receive friends 9:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Pikeville City Cemetery.
