Joyce Houston
Joyce Ann Houston, 62, of Pikeville passed away, surrounded by all those that loved her, on February 13, 2015.
She was of the Methodist faith. She served as Director of Senior Services at the Bledsoe County Senior Center for several years. She was an avid animal lover, particularly her dogs. She also liked flowers. Joyce was a cancer survivor and was active in the Bledsoe County Relay For Life program.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donnie Houston; and her parents, G.W. “Lucky” Walters and Betty Jean Cheatham Walters.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Laurie (Chris) Troglin, Pikeville; siblings, David (Cindy) Kendrick of Chattanooga, Rita (Tommy) Evans, Albany, Georgia, Wanda (Wayne) McMillen, Murray, North Carloina, Rex (Tammy) Cheatham and Mike (Joy) Cheatham, both of Clarksville; grandson, Ryan Troglin; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
A Celebration of Joyce’s Life was held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, February 16, at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Greg Smart officiating. Burial will be in the Collier Cemetery.
