Eli Wooden, Jr
Eli Wooden, Jr., 72, of the New Harmony community in Pikeville died Friday, November 28, 2014.
As a man of God, he was a member of Summer City Church of God. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Wooden; six brothers, Arthur, Dee, Dub, George, James and John Wooden; sisters Jewell Dodd, Callie Obremski, and Bertha Yates.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Wooden; son, Mike (Charlie) Wooden of Covington, and daughter, Karen Wooden Mullins of Cordova, and their mother Bonnie Keener Wooden Locke; grandchildren, Matthew and Ethan Wooden, Annie Katherine Wright; sisters, Ruby Clark of Pikeville, and Anna (James) Daggett of Chickamauga, Georgia; step-children, Penny (Scott) Wooden, Sherry (Calvin) Henderson, and Joe McCutcheon; step-grandchildren, Cody Harris, Clay (Jennifer) Harris, Jeffery (Sheena) Parker, and Marcus Parker; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Jayden Harris, and Jana Parker; and countless others who considered him a precious friend and PawPaw.
Services were held December 1 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Freddie Marler officiating. Burial was in Rigsby Cemetery.
