Martha E. Smith, 86, of Pikeville went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2014.
She was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church. Some of Martha’s favorite activities included sewing and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Smith; parents, George and Annie Yearwood; brothers, Richard, Chess, John, Glenn, Mack and Harvey Yearwood; sisters, Nan Oakes and Belle Barnes; grandchild, James Robert Schoolfield III; and a daughter-in-law, Hazel Smith.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Brady (Shirley) Smith of Spencer and Barry Smith of Pikeville; daughter; Brenda (Jim) Schoolfield of Crossville; grandchildren, Bobby (Amanda) Schoolfield, Abigail Schoolfield, Tammy (Dennis) Deweese, Travis (Elizabeth) Smith, and Adam (Chasity) Smith; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Noah, Suzanna, William, Morgan, Audrey, Jack, Holly, and Seth; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Martha’s Life was held on Sunday, August 3, at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Freddie Savage and Bro. Bobby Schoolfield officiating. Burial was in the Pikeville Cemetery.
