Ruth Ardell Rainey

Ruth Ardell Rainey, 89, of Bevinsville, Kentucky died March 16, 2014 at her residence.

She was born on March 8, 1925 in Jenkins, Kentucky to the late John and Lily Smith Dillard. Rainey taught school for over 40 years until her retirement, and was a member of the Kentucky Teacher’s Retirement group.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews and school children she taught.

Services are Wednesday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home with grave side sevices on Thursday, March 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Collier Cemetery in Pikeville with James Butler officiating. Visitation is after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, Kentucky.
