Audrey Simmons

Audrey Simmons, 88, of Pikeville died Monday, December 2, 2013.

She was a member of Mt. Crest Church of God of Prophecy where she enjoyed singing for The Lord. Audrey was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, mother-in-law, and sister. She loved to joke, laugh, smile, and pull a trick or two. She also loved cooking and making chocolate pies, but her greatest loves were family and church.

Audrey was preceded in death by her brother Willie Joe Forsythe; and parents Bill and Lillie Forsythe.

Survivors include her husband, N.C. Simmons; daughter, Brenda (Don) Nobles of Gallatin; three sons, Gerald (Margie) Simmons of Germantown, Roger (Susan) Simmons of Pikeville and Gary (Kim) Simmons of Crossville; grandchildren Aaron (Tia) Bowlin, Bryan (Aimee) Simmons, Alecia (Scott) Sorrells, Jennifer (Brad) Hale, and Niki Nobles; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Marie Yates of Spencer and Kaye (Dick) Clowdus of Wyoming; brothers, Willard (Betty) Forsythe of Spencer and Woodrow (Wilma) Forsythe of Crossville.

Services will be held Friday, December 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ken Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Blackburn Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.
