Frederick Daniel Bartel
Frederick Daniel Bartel, 65, of Pikeville, formerly of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, went to sleep in a sweet and gentle peace on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. He then awoke in the beautiful sunrise of a new day, to walk in the presence of his Lord.
He was a retired steel mill worker, and was a member of the Summer City Church of God. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel F. Bartel.
He is survived and will be missed by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Bartel; son, Robert Daniel (Brittany) Bartel; daughters, Tiffanny Bartel and Heather (David) Boughner; mother, Angeline Bartel; brothers, Robert (Kathy) and Daniel (Karen) Bartel; sisters, Debra (Derk) Maybe, Becky (Robert) Galiano; grandchildren, Brittani and Danielle Giglio, Daniel and Savannah Bartel; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
A memorial service was held at Summer City Church of God on June 8 with Rev. Freddie Marler officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to help with his final expenses.
Arrangements were entrusted to Pikeville Funeral Home in Pikeville.
