Susie Alma Walker

Susie Alma Walker, 90, of 87 Harve Lewis Road in Bledsoe County died December 30, 2011 at her home. She was a member of New Hope The Baptist Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Walker; two grandchildren, Frances Braziel and Sam Pugh, Jr.; son-in-law, Milton Mills, Sr.; parents, Harve and Maudie Lewis; four brothers, Envoy “PeeWee”, Marolyn, Harvie, and Dudley Lewis; and two sisters, Regina Fox and Wilvia Fields.

She is survived and will be missed by her two daughters, Billie Sue Mills of Pikeville and Linda (Sam) Pugh, Sr. of Crossville; three grandchildren, Tammy Mills Walker, Mutt (Julia) Mills, and Eddie (Sherrie) Angel; nine great-grandchildren, Joelene (Jamie) Harris, Jamison Walker, Silas and Lydia Mills, Stephanie (Larry) Davis, Tiffany (Josh) England, Brad Braziel, Jeremy Angel, Walker Tollett Pugh; two great-great-grandchildren, Isabella Davis and Lilly England; two sisters, Nikkie Kendall of Chattanooga, Carolyn and Leon Wilkey of Crossville; one brother Alvin (Betsy) Lewis of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends. 

A celebration of her life was held in the funeral home chapel on January 2 with Bro. Roger Pennycuff officiating. Interment was in the Brushy Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by Pikeville Funeral Home in Pikeville.
