Marion Tollett Downey

Marion Tollett Downey, 93, of Pikevile died Sunday, April 17, 2011. She was a member of Red Hill Church of Christ, Nine Mile Family and Community Education and the Retired Teachers Association.

Downey was preceded in death by her husband, John Irvin Downey.

Survivors include her daughter Beth (Sid) Anthony; son, John Lee (Wanda) Downey both of Pikeville; three granddaughters, Kim Smith, Lisa Schultz and Lee Ann Howser; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services were held Wednesday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial in Swafford’s Chapel Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to the Nine Mile Fire Department.
