John Lewis Fields, 82, of Pikeville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026.
John L. loved his family, children, and grandchildren. He worked as a truck driver for several years, and enjoyed being outdoors farming, trading, fishing, and hunting. John L. always liked playing a good prank and making others laugh.
Preceding John L. in death were his parents, Virgil Thomas and Wilva Cleo Lewis Fields; daughter, Cynthia Fields Davis; brothers, Everett Fields, Virgil T. Fields, Jr., Billy Fields, and Donald Fields; sisters, Geneva Tracy, Betty Edmons, and Bonnie Panter.
John L. will be dearly missed by his son, John Patrick Fields; daughter, Coree Fields; grandchildren, Samantha Ann (Kaitee) Oakes, Breyton Lewis, Kelsey Ann Harris, Makena Davis, and Rainey Boynton; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Aurora, and June Oakes; sisters, Faye Walker and Flora Mae Farmer; brothers, Ray Fields, Bobby Fields, and Jackie Fields; son-in-law, Tony Davis; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. CDT Monday, April 20, in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Ronnie Holloway officiating. Those serving as pallbearers are Larry Edmons, Richard Edmons, Matt Fields, Mitchell Walker, Mikey Walker, and Brian Stewart. Burial will be in McDowell Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. CDT Sunday, April 19, and 11:00 a.m. until service time Monday at Pikeville Funeral Home.
