Lucille May Smith, 87, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died on Monday, April 14, 2025.

She was a member of Lee Station Church of God and a devoted Christian. She loved to travel and loved her children and grandchildren. She loved to color and read, especially her Bible. She wanted to help anyone she could, and loved hummingbirds and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Anne May; foster parents, John and Delphia Savage; brothers, Roberta “Bud” May, Albert Savage, Ed Savage and S.T. Savage; sisters, Rose May, Ruby Songer and Velma “Toots” Bowman; daughter, Kathy Cooley; grandchildren, Tiffany Smith, Junior Privett, Jemmah Smith, Baby Crail and Baby Ables.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Teddy Smith of Pikeville; children, Joseph (Ann) Smith of Billerica, Massachusetts, Patricia (Michael) Smith of Soddy Daisy, Ricky (Amy) Smith of Pikeville, Jeff (Priscilla) Smith of Dunlap, Andy (Sheryle) Smith of Pikeville, Tim (Stephanie) Smith of Dunlap, and Tonya (John) Privett of Pikeville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Beatrice DeBoer and Dewey May; sister-in-law, Gert May; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 19, at 1:00 p.m. CDT at Lee Station Church of God with Bro. Wendall Harris officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 17, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. CDT; Friday, April 18, from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. CDT; and Saturday, April 19, from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CDT at the funeral home.
