Linda Lou Anderson

Linda Lou Anderson, of Delton, Michigan passed away on January 1, 2026 at 79 years old, surrounded by family and friends. Linda was born on March 29, 1946 in Plainwell, Michigan to John & Beatrice Anderson.

During her younger years, from childhood through her mid thirties, she resided in Orangeville, Michigan.

Linda married William Ritchie “Welzie” at a young age & had a beautiful son, William “Todd” Ritchie, with Welzie. She loved Welzie & Todd, & made lots of memories around Orangeville, Michigan in her younger adult years. Due to unfortunate circumstances, Welzie passed away at a young age. A little while later she married Wayne Sapp. She had another beautiful son, Lancer “Biff” Sapp, with Wayne Sapp. She had two stepchildren “Butch & Kim Sapp” whom she adored and who quickly became part of her family. The family continued to reside in Orangeville, Michigan until Linda was in her mid-thirties.

Linda always loved hanging out with her family & friends in Orangeville, Michigan. She loved going to parties, watching her young kids participate in sports & watching many sports games on TV. She also loved outdoor activities such as back road cruising with her husband & kids, sitting in the creek with her family & friends & snowmobiling in the winter.

During her older adult years, from her mid-thirties until her early seventies, she resided in Pikeville, Tennessee. For most of her working career in Pikeville, she worked at Bledsoe County Special Services as a caregiver for developmentally challenged adults in their work environments. She loved working with all of her clients and many of them became very dear to her heart.

Eventually she found her way back to Michigan & resided in Delton, from her early seventies on. She made many more memories with her family & friends once back in Michigan. She was especially happy to be close to her son and his family and her sisters later in life. She had a dog named Lucy whom she loved and who kept her company for many years.

Linda also loved Jesus Christ. She looked to Jesus for her guidance, direction and safety later in life and prayed for that for her family members as well.

Linda Lou Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, John and Beatrice Anderson, her husbands, William “Welzie” Ritchie and Wayne Sapp; her infant daughter, Jamie; and her brother Johnny Anderson.

She is survived by her two sons, William “Todd” (Heather) Ritchie and Lancer “Biff” (Rainy) Sapp, her two stepchildren, Butch and Kim Sapp; her grandchildren Cody, Cole, Summer, Jarrett, Jordan, Jaden, Danny, David, Justin and Blake; and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Frances Bourdo and Sharon Taylor, along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Orangeville Township Hall in Plainwell, Michigan on January 31, 2026 from 2 to 5 p.m. Private respects can be made at the gravesite at Oak Hill Cemetery following the celebration of life.
