Betty Jean Fortenberry Riggs

Betty Jean Fortenberry Riggs, 63 of Spencer, Tennesssee died Saturday, September 2, 2023.

Betty loved her family, loved to cook, enjoyed working out, and taking care of her flower gardens. Betty always had a smile on her face, was an amazing caregiver, always giving her services to others, touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with, and was able to change lives in a positive way in some direction.

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse with Centurion Health, and a member of Midway Church of Christ.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, T. N. Fortenberry; mother, Ruby Smith Gauger; son, Shane Riggs; brother, Stanley Fortenberry.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 46 years, Lester Ray Riggs; son, Shawn Riggs; granddaughter, Lindsey Riggs; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A memorial service was held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 10, in the funeral home chapel.
