Leroy Doyle Nation
Leroy Doyle Nation was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 19, 1948. He attended Soddy Daisy High School and graduated in 1967. He retired from Binswanger Glass Company in Chattanooga. Leroy loved his family, grandkids, his fighting roosters, football, and any kind of racing. He was of the Baptist faith.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents Ed Doyle and Ejusta Elizabeth Hays Nation; grandson, Terrence Trent Bock.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of fifty-two and half years, Mary B. Nation; children, James S. (Lynn) Nation, Christy L. (Chip) Hicks, Michael L. Nation, Katherine E. Wooden, Derek S. Nation, and Anthony A. Nation; grandchildren, Justin S. ( Stephanie) Nation, Daniel R. Bock, Kendall Hicks, Sasha R. Swafford, Hayley Waymon, Janice Waymon, Macey Waymon, Dewayne Thurman, Gavin Looper, Joshua Looper, Ethan Looper, Mason Nation, and Bentley Nation; great-grandchildren, Destin Nation and Brayson Walden; sisters, Shirley Lord and Sharon (Cecil) Thompson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bill Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Iron Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, and 8:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
