Lorene (Rennie) Goins Townsend
Lorene (Rennie) Goins Townsend, 91, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Thursday, August 3, 2023, at home.
She worshiped with the Church of Christ at Pikeville. She loved sending and receiving cards for birthdays, anniversaries, get well and encouragement.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Fleeta Logan Goins; three husbands, Manuel Britt, Benton Panter and Ora M. Townsend; two sisters, Margaret Smith and Gloria Byrd; and son-in-laws, Bud Branum and Lynn Price.
Left behind to cherish her memory are five children, Tony (Melissa) Britt, Manuel (Sharon) Britt, Shelia Price, all of Pikeville, Sandra (Jr.) Bowers, Soddy Daisy and Rita (Ronnie) Smith, Lyons, GA; special friend, Jay Sullivan; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; special niece, Beverly Manus; her church family; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 6, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tony Britt officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
