Frances Marie Swafford

Frances Marie Swafford, 107, of Pikeville, Tennessee passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Bledsoe County Nursing Home.

Frances attended Pikeville United Methodist Church, enjoyed painting, golfing, crocheting, and quilting. She loved people and was involved in many activities at the Bledsoe County Senior Center before going into the Nursing Home.  

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Grace White Swafford; brothers, Wade, Quinten, John Powell, and Glenn Swafford; nephew, Randy Swafford; special cousins, Billie (Jerry) Messner, Ted Messner; very special friend, Andy Burchen. 

Frances is survived by her nephews, Gary, Mike, Tim, and Dale Swafford; nieces, Kim Zeppa, and Patsy Rhodes; numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; special cousins Lynne and Mick Messner; and a host of friends.  

A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. CST Wednesday, February 22, at T Y Swafford Cemetery with Bobby Collier officiating. The family will receive friends 4:00 to 8:00v p.m. Tuesday, February 21, at Pikeville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Bledsoe County Senior Center.
