Occupancy tax in effect now

Businesses or individuals who charge for lodging as of November 1, 2022 have to pay a 4% occupancy tax that was approved by the Bledsoe County Commission in October, reports County Clerk Genese Sapp. The funds generated by the tax will be used to promote local tourism.
