Bill Anderson, 83, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Friday, January 28, 2022, at his home.
He attended Summer City Baptist Church. He was a member and former assistant chief at Rigsby Volunteer Fire Department. He was employed at Combustion Engineering as an x-ray tech until he retired and was the manager of the county convenience center on State Route 30 for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anderson; parents, Joseph and Dolly Anderson; siblings, Phyllis Hensley, Bobby Hancock, Wendell Anderson and Herbert Anderson.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret (Bobby) Tucker of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews; caretakers, Robert and Annette Swafford and Kenny and Linda Rogers, and their daughters, who he thought of as his own; and a host of friends.
Services were held Wednesday, February 2, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Summer City Cemetery.
