Bob C. Sells

Bob C. Sells, 84, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died, Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

Bob was a 1955 graduate of Bledsoe County High School and a 1959 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. While at MTSU, he played four years in the Band of Blue and was chosen to sing in the chorus and play in the school orchestra.

In 1962, he received his Masters in Administration and Supervision. He retired from teaching and coaching football and basketball and serving as principal of Lakeview Elementary School. He was also a partner in Sells Building Supply, Inc., with his brother, Reed Sells.

Bob was a faithful Christian and served the Lord directing music, teaching Bible class and serving as a deacon. He was also a charter member of First Southern Baptist Church. At the time of his death, Bob was a member of Mt. Crest United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Roberta Sells; and son, Robert William Sells.

He is survived by his wife, Martha, of 56 years; children, Nancy (David) Dodson of Ooltewah, John David (Tara) Sells and Ron (Melissa) Sells; six grandchildren, Courtney and Garrett Dodson, Caroline and Carson Sells, and Madeline and Emersyn Sells.

Graveside services were held Saturday, November 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery with Rev. Brian Williamson officiating. Burial was in Pikeville Cemetery.
