Alice Johnson Ryan

Alice Ann Johnson Ryan, 78, wife of Ralph Edwin Ryan for 60 years, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2020.

Alice was born in Pikeville, Tennessee to the late Nevan and Ina Rainey Johnson. Alice and Ralph married on December 4, 1959 in New Haven, Michigan. They called Lenox Township home for 46 years and spent the last five years in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

Alice loved The Lord, her family and especially loved being “Grandma.”

She was a former member of First Baptist Church of New Baltimore and worked many years for the American Seed Company.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a son, Ralph Ryan, Jr. (Paula); three daughters, Alison Ryan, Teresa Ruff (Jim) and Sally Capps (Michael); a brother, Willie Ray Johnson (Mary); ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Ryan and Sheila Winarski (John); many loving nieces and nephews; and her fur baby, Bailey.

She was predeceased by a sister, Erna Faye Thornton; five brothers-in-laws; two nephews; and a niece.

Fletcher Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
