Mildred J. (Blaylock) Gilbert

Mildred J. (Blaylock) Gilbert, 80, born May 6, 1940 in Pikeville, Tennessee, wife of Loyd Gilbert, passed away May 21, 2020, at her daughter’s residence.

She was of the Church of God faith.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bedford R. “Junior” Conley; grandson, William Keith Smith; brothers, Denton “Bud” Blaylock, Fred Monroe Blaylock, William “Puddin” Blaylock and Woodrow Blaylock; sister, Gladys Reagan; half-sisters, Ocie Mae Hunter, Donna Blaylock and Mary Watson; half-brothers, Lee Norman Smith, Jerry Blaylock, Perry Blaylock and Terry Blaylock.

She is survived by her husband, Loyd Gilbert of Spencer; children, Barbara (Kenny) Yearwood of Pikeville, Brenda Conley of Pikeville, Danny (Michelle) Conley of Pikeville, David (Connie) Gilbert of Spring City, and Wayne Conley of Pikeville; grandchildren, Samantha, Amanda Gilbert, April Conley, Randall DeLong, Tanay (Randy) Presley, Steven Conley and Michael Smith; great-grandchildren, Danny Smith, Staley Smart, Savannah Presley, Karly Presley, Christopher Bayless, Dawson DeLong and Brayton Evans; sisters, Lucille Boyd, Pikeville and Flossie Haston of Dayton, Ohio; half-sisters, Annette Blankenship, Pikeville and Susan Smith, Pikeville; brother, Charles Blaylock, Pikeville; and special fur baby, Benji.

There will be a graveside service Saturday, May 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Blaylock Cemetery with Rev. Rudy Oakes officiating.
