Lonnell Thomas Ward
Lonnell Thomas Ward, age 58 of Pikeville, in the Bellview community, died March 26, 2020.
He spent a lot of his time on wood working projects, like furniture and even building his own pine box to be buried in.
He enjoyed serving God through Focus Prison Ministries at BCCX in Pikeville, did jail ministry at Bledsoe and Cumberland County jails, and also served as Chaplain at Hospice of Cumberland County and volunteered with the Salvation Army. He loved working for the Lord in any way he could.
He also loved working in his vegetable garden and all his many hats that he wore. Lonnell was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, served in the United States Army for six years, had a Dr. degree in Theology from the Gulf Coast Bible College, and worked as a Lineman with the City of Leesburg, Florida Electric Department.
Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Linda Cubbage Ward; daughter, Tessa Clark; son, Bobby (Missy) Clark; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Luka) Bosnjak, Keith Lowe, and Charity Walker; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be 1:00 pm CDT Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Seals Cemetery with Bro. Darvin Oakes and Bro. Rudy Oakes officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bread Of Life in Crossville, TN.
