Ruby Jean Smith, 78, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died, Friday, August 9, 2019 with family by her side.
She was of the Baptist faith and worked in a textile factory for many years. Ruby Jean loved her family, enjoyed quilting, and traveling.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Lee Smith; daughter, Frances St. Clair; parents, Emmitt and Minnie Angel Walker; sister, Beulah L. Narramore; brother, little Bobby Walker; great-grandchild, Drake Shaver.
Ruby Jean will be dearly missed by her daughters, Brenda Kelly, Bernice (Phil) Shaver; sisters, Ruth Hankins, Angie Lee Walker, Reba White, Golie (Charlie) Frady; brothers, Emmitt Junior Walker, Terry Walker, Clifford Allen (Mary Sue) Walker; grandchildren, Chuck (Merideth) St. Clair, Chad (Felicia) Shaver, Chase (Meghan) Shaver, Ransom (Morgan) Kelly, Darra (Jeremy) Swafford; seven great-grandchildren, Tate, Tucker, and Cooper Shaver, Ellie Swafford, Adeline Kelly, Walker and Chesley St.Clair; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A celebration of life was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Delbert Raines and Bro. Wayne Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Bud Smith Cemetery.
