Lannie “L.C.” Dykes, 78, of Pikeville, Tennessee died Tuesday, April 15, 2019.
He was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid deer hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Thelma Dykes; grandson, Joshua Hitchcox; and five sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Dykes of Pikeville; daughter, Lisa Hitchcox of Pikeville; three sons, Kenny (Joyce) Dykes of Ohio, Ritchie Dykes and Casper Dykes, both of Pikeville; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Kyle, K.C., Justin, Dylan, Nikita, Lora, Brittney and Cassidy; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Cruse of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Rogers and Bro. Darryl Nance officiating. Burial will be in Hitchcox Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
