Charles Walling, 78 of Pikeville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2016.
He was a lifetime member of Bledsoe County Rescue Squad. One of Charles favorite pastimes was fishing. Charles worked as constable for the Bledsoe County Sheriff Department for several years.
Preceding Charles in death were his parents, Charles and Vicie Roberts Walling; son, Charles Howard Walling; sisters, Opal Myers and Katherine Newby.
Left to cherish Charles’s memories are his daughter, Cynthia (Kenneth) Pruitt of Spring City; son, Michael (Pam) Walling of Collegedale; grandchildren, Michael, Jr.(Stephanie) Walling, Charles Logan (Kara) Walling, Justin and Shane Thomas; great-grandchildren, Alyssah Walling, Oaklee Thomas, and Ransley Walling; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial service was held Monday, June 27 at the West End Church of God with Bro. Danny Lee officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Swafford, Bill Campbell, Marlin Walker, Mickey Swanger, Camden Walker, and Jimmy Reed.
