Donald Elex Simmons

Donald Elex Simmons, 8, passed away Wednesday October 15, 2014 at Erlanger Hospital. He loved God and his love touched everyone in his presence. He was a second grader at Wheeler Elementary School.

He is survived by his parents Ricky Simmons, Jr. of Pikeville and Cynthia Simmons of Ohio; sisters Shayla and Shaunda Simmons; grandparents Rick Simmons, Sr. and Lisa Haney, and Donald Lewis and Dena Ditto.

A Celebration of Elex’s life was held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 21, at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Rudy Oakes officiating. Burial was in Iron Hill Cemetery.
