Thelma Hitchcox

Thelma Hitchcox, 85, of Pikeville died Wednesday, July 2, 2014.

She was preceded in death by husband, Benton Hitchcox; parents Raymond and Mayme Gifford; siblings Raymond Gifford, Jr., Rowena Gifford, Charles Gifford and Judy Tucker.

Survivors include children Leon (Gail) Hitchcox of Pikeville, Mayme (Randall) Phillips of Dunlap, and Charles Hitchcox of Pikeville; grandchildren, Randy (Tiffany) Phillips, Benji Phillips, Micah Hitchcox, Sarah (Ben) Parrish; great-grandchildren Brad and Bella Phillips; sisters Marietta London, Evalene Shannon, Alvalene Holland, and Linda Clark; brother, Edgar (Jean) Gifford, all of Pikeville; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Sunday, July 6 in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in McDowell Cemetery.
