Mildred Darlene Smith

Mildred Darlene Smith, 89, of Cleveland, formerly of Pikeville, passed away at a Cleveland area hospital on March 11, 2012.

She was of the Baptist faith. She worked at many factories, mostly textile, and was a dedicated homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Leo Smith; son, Charles Vernon Smith; brothers, Raymond, Clyde, Henry and Albert Jackson, Jr.; and sisters, Elsie, Lucille, Alberta, Susie and Lizzie.

She is survived and will be missed by her son, Dennis (Jackie) Lee of Cookeville; daughters, Imogene (Bob) Latourette of Smyrna, Linda (Walter) Hall of Cleveland, and Freda (Jeff) Morgan of Pikeville; grandchildren, Laura, Alan, Steven, Theresa, Wanda, Jeremy, Jarrod, Lindsey and Conner; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

A celebration of her life was held in the funeral home chapel on March 14. Burial was in the Bud Smith Cemetery.
