Pansy Jo Collier

Pansy Jo Collier, 78, of Medway, Ohio, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, while a resident of Oakwood Village in Springfield, Ohio.

She was a long-term resident of Fairborn and Medway, Ohio prior to moving to Oakwood Village in 2008. Collier was born on March 23, 1933, in Marion County, the daughter of the late Will and Martha (Rector) White.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Collier Sr., in 1991; five brothers John, J.D., Lewis, Bill and Gordon White; and two sisters, Alice Campbell and Janice Owens.

She is survived by three sons, John A. Collier Jr. of Springfield, Ohio, Gene and his wife Debra Collier of Springfield, Ohio, and Richard W. Collier of Pikeville; one sister, Thelma and her husband Leonard Miller of Orange City, Florida; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  

Local services for her will be held on June 9 in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be at the Wheeler Hill Cemetery.
